Gourmet Restaurant at 3.048 m above sea-level with GIG Envelope and Viewing Platform. The new design restaurant "Ice Q" on the mountain Gaislachkogl in Soelden (Tyrol) is situated on 3048 metres above sea-level. The spectacular glass facade is made by GIG.
The Design Restaurant Ice Q in Sölden has been officially opened on 18th January 2014 and it replaces the former viewing platform Gaislachkogl that was dismantled in May 2013. In total construction costs of EUR 4.5 million have been invested in the design restaurant. Under the direction of renowned architect Johann Obermoser the restaurant was built with 94 indoor and 34 patio seats in the construction phase from June to December 2013. The cladding specialist GIG was responsible for the complete building envelope accompanied by the primary steel structure and the massive wooden floor slabs.
